Who is Bold 2 B U Community?
Bold 2 B U Community has been active in communities throughout the Piedmont Triad for over 7 years. We volunteer with other non-profit organizations to feed the homeless, volunteer and host events with special needs young adults, host women empowerment sessions in partnership with the Salvation Army Center of Hope, host community cookouts multiple times a year, help assist with disaster relief, and so much more.
Our goal is to "Bridge the Gaps" in daily needs for college students, special needs population, senior citizens, and those in underserved geographical areas. Bold 2 B U Community is continuously striving to make a difference in our local neighborhoods.
Our founder T. Renae Cleveland dedicated our Granny's Love Outreach Program to her Grandmother Bertha who the family called "Granny". Granny served her God, family, church, and the community. She was a pillar of the family. Granny was one of the best cooks around, served faithfully in church, and always made sure family, friends, and whomever was in need had a place to make them feel like home. Because Granny cooked all the time, T. Renae Cleveland wanted to do something like her granny which is feed people and provide the everyday necessities they would need: food, clothing, hygiene items, and most of all a Granny's Love. This is how our feeding initiative started. With our feeding initiative, which is still part of our Granny's Love Outreach Program, we host community cookouts and feedings throughout the year in different communities. Additionally, every other year we host a county to county wide feeding. Our county to county wide feeding consist of us collaborating with other organizations to feed up to 100 people per location. In 2022, at our last county to county wide feeding it was 3 counties wide(Guilford, Rockingham, and Davidson) 19 different organizations and as a whole we feed up to 1200 on the same day and time. Also, with our Granny's Love Outreach Program, we have an exceptional buddy's program where we spend time with young adults, and senior citizens who are disabled to take them shopping, to the movies, and/or out to eat to give them a buddy for a day outing, and Christmas adoption for families with special needs children.
Our W.E.L.L. Women program is to overall help women have a well balanced life. We want to inspire, motivate, and encourage single women, single moms, single women who are parent/guardians/caregivers to someone who is special needs to live a balance life. We started this program in women's shelters, and it continues to evolve into something more purposed, focused, and impactful. Through the program we encourage, and equip women to love the life they live and live the life they love.
